Farmfresh
was the idea of David Rose, an East Midlands farmer. As well
as working with Farmfresh, David is also involved in helping
other businesses, such as Thaymar
Ice Cream.
David believes passionately in good, locally sourced food, and
is rightly proud of the quality of produce offered by Farmfresh.
At Farmfresh we carefully select the farmers and producers that
we deal with to ensure they conform to our strict environmental
and animal welfare standards. We also encourage consumers to
use seasonal products, and to eat a balanced diet helping with
the 5 a day message the government and health professionals
are trying to promote.

event in the Peak District National Park to promote organic
farming and locally-sourced products. David explained the work
UK Countrylife is doing to re-connect farmers to consumers,
to promote regional food and to encourage responsible food production.
"His Royal Highness was very interested to hear about our ventures,
and other worthwhile rural projects," says David. Prince Charles
made the visit as President of Business in the Community, who
arranged the event.
