FarmFresh Meals is based at Shackerdale Farm, Car Colston near Bingham in Nottinghamshire. The aim of our business is to supply a complete range of high quality fresh produce and promote a healthier life style through a better diet.

Our three main product ranges are our own brand of prepared meal solutions, fresh fruit and vegetables and fresh meats. We supply all 3 of our product lines into both retail and food service outlets. Customers can also collect a range of product lines from our own hub or from retail outlets around the great East Midlands.

Our fresh produce is sourced locally where possible giving us full traceability and reducing the distance traveled by products ensuring they reach you, the customer, as fresh as can be.

The local sourcing of products has a number of benefits:-

• Greater freshness and so increased shelf life of products
• Reduced need for artificial preservatives
• Improves the local economy which in turn supports rural services
• Allows products to be traced back to the farm giving full confidence to the consumer with food scares becoming a greater and greater issue
• Farms are visited regularly so we can guarantee that the highest standards of environmental consideration and animal welfare are maintained
• Distances traveled are significantly reduced therefore reducing carbon emissions and waste
• Helps to generate a greater sense of pride in the region

Our business is growing rapidly as people come to realize the benefits of locally produced products. We currently supply around 60 schools in Nottinghamshire with locally sourced vegetables, fruits and now meats which we deliver twice weekly. We are also supplying a number of food service outlets, both locally and nationally, with fresh produce and our chef prepared meal range. Our meal range consists of over 20 lines which have been specifically designed to promote East Midlands produce. They are all produced from locally sourced ingredients and are free from artificial preservatives. We have had great success with this range to date and they can now be seen in eating establishments across the country.

In addition to the highest quality products we also offer our customers a flexible delivery service which we can adapt to suit your needs and full sales support. We are happy to provide point of sale materials and marketing tools to advertise that you are supporting local producers and help you to gain an edge in the competitive market place.
